WYOMING GAME AND FISH HUNT APPLICATIONS

Wyoming's Finest Outfitters lies in the heart of some of the most prime hunting ground in Wyoming. Located in the northeast corner of the state at the base of the Big Horn mountain, we are approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Billings, MT, Casper, WY and Gillette, WY. We specialize in archery elk, deer, antelope and mountain lion hunts on more than 180,000 acres of private land where game is plentiful and of trophy caliber. Our goal is to provide you with a 100% effort and a quality hunting experience.

If you are driving to WFO, exit at Sheridan (exit 23 from Interstate-90) and we will meet you in Sheridan. If you are flying in to join us, we will provide transportation from the Sheridan airport

Our 7-day hunts include 3-5 days of hunting, with one day allowed for arrival and one day for departure. We offer a 7-day deer/elk combo hunt, a 5-day deer/antelope combo hunt or a 5-day elk hunt, a 3-day antelope hunt, a 3-day buffalo hunt, and a 5-day mountain lion hunt. In addition to our premier hunt packages, we also offer turkey hunting, prairie dog hunting and fishing.

Archery hunts run from September 1st through the 30th for elk and the deer and antelope will run September 1st through the 24th, and will be either in elevated Gorilla treestands, in ground blinds by Premium 360°, or by spot and stalk. Rifle hunts will start October 1st for the first two weeks on the East side of the road. I will start the three week hunt on the West side the road on October the 15th, arrivals will be on the 14th of October by spot and stalk, with lots of roads to cover, lots of ground.

Mountain lion hunts are 5-day hunts, and start around November 15th, (due to the elk hunting season), and run through the end of December. We have a 18 cat quota on the lands we hunt. We can take up to two hunters at a time at the most, with each hunt guided on a one-on-one basis, and with another houndsman we work as a team to make it happen. We run all cats with hounds, and all dogs are owned by WFO. We have private land along the Big Horn mountains that we run on and it is full of good cat hunting. We take up to six hunters per year and our hunters have enjoyed a whopping 99% success rate over the last 5 years! During the lion season, we will provide you with a hotel room in town, but your meals are up to you. We pick you up every morning and head out to the hunting grounds where we hunt off of ATV's or by truck. 35% of the full hunt price is required for a deposit on all hunts. WFO will assist you with the completion and submission of your required applications to the Wyoming Game and Fish Dept. The game and fish dept. will draw for tags in the first week of July. Once your tag has been drawn, your deposit is non-refundable. Tags will be sent to the address on the application.

Guides

Our guides are tops! All are well versed in the hunting tactics we employ and in the knowledge of the resident game we hunt. They are friendly, experienced and eager to help you get that trophy animal you are after.

Taxidermy

In-house taxidermy provided by Rimrock Taxidermy - Kris Powers. Rimrock has been in business for over 10 years, and can generally turn your mounts around in 8 to 10 months. They use a tannery for all capes and provide the best forms money can buy.
